Celebrating Urdu Day

Badar International School recently organized a vibrant Urdu Day celebration to honor the rich heritage and cultural significance of the Urdu language. The event was a wonderful opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the beauty and depth of this poetic language.

The day’s festivities included a variety of engaging activities, such as:

  • Speech Competitions: Students delivered inspiring speeches on the importance of preserving and promoting Urdu as a cultural treasure.
  • Poetry Recitations: The melodious rhythm of Urdu poetry filled the air as students recited famous works by poets like Allama Iqbal, Mirza Ghalib, and Faiz Ahmed Faiz.
  • Calligraphy Exhibition: A special showcase of Urdu calligraphy highlighted the artistic elegance of the script, with students displaying their own creative pieces.
  • Storytelling Sessions: Teachers and students narrated classic tales in Urdu, emphasizing the language’s richness and expressive power.

The event also featured a quiz competition focused on Urdu literature, history, and grammar, sparking excitement and enthusiasm among participants.

Urdu Day concluded with a message from the principal, encouraging students to take pride in their cultural heritage and continue to explore the depth of the Urdu language.
