Student Elections at BIS

Badar International School recently organized a Student Elections Activity, designed to encourage leadership, responsibility, and democratic values among its students. The event aimed to educate students about the electoral process while giving them the opportunity to actively participate in a meaningful and exciting activity.

The process began with student nominations, where aspiring candidates campaigned for positions such as Class Representatives, Sports Leaders, and Cultural Heads. Candidates presented their ideas and plans to their peers, showcasing their leadership qualities and vision for the school community.

On election day, the students experienced a mock democratic process. A polling booth was set up, and each student cast their vote using ballot papers or an electronic voting system. This hands-on activity familiarized them with voting procedures, the importance of fair play, and the value of making informed decisions.

The event concluded with the announcement of winners in a school assembly, highlighting the importance of accepting both victory and defeat gracefully. The elected leaders were then entrusted with responsibilities to promote teamwork and contribute to the school’s vibrant environment.

Through this activity, students gained valuable insights into democracy, decision-making, and the significance of leadership. At BIS, we take pride in nurturing future leaders who understand the power of collaboration, responsibility, and respect for democratic processes.
